Tell Your ABA Story.
The next luncheon for the newest group to inspire and inform local women in business will be October 18th, from 11:30AM-1:00PM.
Our Speaker this month will be Vicky Bates!
Vicky Bates is the owner and founder of Maid in America, a professional cleaning service providing top of the line non-toxic cleaning solutions to homes and businesses for over 20 years since 1995 in the West Georgia area. She strongly believes in empowering others to make healthier choices for themselves and their environment through cleaner living.
In 2018, Maid in America was voted the “Best Cleaning Service” in the Around Acworth People’s Choice Award. She likes to share why her company has been so successful over the past 22 years, hard knocks and all, and why she is passionate about caring for homes and businesses with their non-toxic approach to cleaning. She also shares how her personal journey led her to developing a new business strategy that would be healthier for everyone.
As an Atlanta native and Cobb County resident for over 50 years, she considers Georgia to be her home of choice without even a thought of anywhere else that she would rather be. With retirement on the horizon and the dreams of a more peaceful lifestyle, both Vicky and her husband, Bob, decided upon a move to a home in August of 2018 to Lake Arrowhead in Waleska, GA. Her husband is a professor at Kennesaw State and even though their new home is a little further drive north, they are both still close enough for work and community.
It is an honor for Vicky to be given opportunities to not only share her story about how she started her business from scratch, but to also share her breast cancer story. She will tell you more about why she feels blessed to have been able to say NO to traditional breast cancer treatment protocols while being in good health since her diagnosis in March of 2015. In other words, she is “Tickeled Pink to be Green”.
